Whitney Wolfe Herd has changed the world. As the co-founder of Tinder and CEO of Bumble, she has quite literally invented the online dating world. Yes, she was preceded by Match in 1995 but unlike Match, she helped to create apps that made dating apps not just for the clean cut, but for everyone. This with her net worth $290 million, makes her one of the most powerful faces in the dating world today.
Whitney was born on July 1, 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Southern Methodist University, majoring in International Studies. This along with her work within the "Help Us Project," a nonprofit organization, helped to kick start her CEO and business skills.

Whitney joined the Tinder startup in 2012 and is allegedly behind the name of the app itself. She was later settled out of the company with $1 million and stocks.
She then went on to start "Bumble" in 2014 that gave women the power. This app then expanding into friend networking as well as business networking. It has since grown to over 47 million users and over 80 million matches.

This is with who she is as a person, is why she has changed the world. She has changed the ways in which we connect with one another in various forms of relationships and in this day and age, this is an extreme form of power. More so, when it comes to dating specifically, she has changed who we date and how we date, my topic for this entire website.
